Fuel Cycle

We complexly support nuclear power plants in the middle part of the fuel cycle, from the moment the fuel is delivered to the nuclear power plant until it is discharged from the reactors and stored in the intermediate storage. R&D projects complement our portfolio of services in this area as well.

 

In the field of research, development and training in the field of fuel cycle, we focus on:

  • Methods for computing the characteristics of the active zone;
  • Development of new methods for neutron-physical calculations of the active zone;
  • Developing new methods to optimize fuel charges;
  • Multiphysical calculations of the active zone;
  • Advanced analysis of calculation uncertainties;
  • Support of the back of the fuel cycle of nuclear power plants and research reactors;
  • Elaboration of conceptual and expert studies to optimize spent fuel management in the European
  • context of fissile materials management;
  • Preparation of the fuel cycle of the reactors;
  • Development of computational methods for GenIV reactors and their analysis;
  • Analysis of advanced fuel cycles.
