ÚJV Řež, in the Nuclear Safety and Reliability Division, ensures the support of the safe, reliable and economic operation of nuclear power plants and supports the preparation of the implementation of a new nuclear resource for the Czech Republic. It also deals with research on renewable energy sources.
The Division of Integrity and Engineering Engineering is engaged in improving the safety and durability of nuclear power plants, performing calculations, tests and analyses of material properties, operational control of equipment and their qualification, including the construction and manufacture of experimental equipment.
ÚJV Řež, in this division provides engineering, research, service and consultancy services in the area of radioactive waste management and the fuel cycle chemistry of nuclear power plants. The division provides: processing and treatment of institutional radioactive waste, decommissioning and remediation of workplaces with sources of ionizing radiation from operation, solution of findings of orphan sources, specialized accredited measurements of radionuclide content and nuclear substances in material and environmental samples, research and engineering support of the development and the operation of radioactive waste repositories, transport of highly enriched fuel from research reactors from Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The ENERGOPROJEKT PRAHA division provides comprehensive all-profession project and pre-project activities including related engineering and advisory services in the field of investment construction of nuclear and conventional energy. The professional services of the division include the creation of a technical concept of energy sources, elaboration of project documentation, and complete activities of the Main Designer for the construction of energy resources, including the technical coordination of the project. The Division further offers to process and assess all levels of nuclear documentation safety documentation. An integral part of the spectrum of the Division's activities is the support of the operation of existing power plants and heating plants, elaboration of EIA documentation, and R&D activities.
ÚJV Řež is engaged in the production of radiopharmaceuticals, their research and development and the introduction into routine practice for health care in the Radiopharmaceuticals division. It operates three Positron emission tomography (PET) centers with its own cyclotrons. The division of Radiopharmaceuticals also carries out the construction and training of professional staff of the PET centers.
