The aim of the contract is to carry out experiments with ionization of mercury under conditions simulating the flue gases of an energy operations with the aim of finding the conditions under which ionization of mercury occurs with the possibility of its capture by an applied electromagnetic field.
The work of the ÚJV Řež is focused on its own experiments with mercury and a source of ionizing radiation intended for ionization. The subcontractor COMDES Ltd. then includes the modeling of electromagnetic fields and the design of the capture filter.
