ACCUMULATION AND TRANSMISSION OF ENERGY
The ÚJV Řež, a. s. Nuclear Safety and Reliability Division also participates in solving problems related to the European electricity network caused by the increasing proportion of unstable energy sources.
The current European electricity network ENTSO-E, which the Czech Republic belongs to, faces significant problems caused mainly by an increasing percentage of connection to unstable energy sources. Hydrogen technologies, which also include fuel element technology, offer several perspective possibilities for the use for energy accumulation and transmission system stabilisation or, if appropriate, the development of island systems.
- In this field, ÚJV Řež, a. s. offers the following services:
- Simulation of accumulation hydrogen unit connection to the system within ancillary services according to all standards as defined by the Grid Code of ČEPS, a.s. (measurability, guaranteed availability of service, certifiability) as well as individual distribution system codes;
- Feasibility study for the energy accumulation unit, using hydrogen technologies;
- Expertise in the field of designing energy storage systems (intelligent local networks, etc.).
